The Static | 13th March 2024
The static returns to show you how to be minimal, loud and starry eyed.
Hello, and welcome back to the Static. I cannot wait for you to see what I have put together today. I am genuinely excited to share these, so I will not waste a second more. Let’s get into it.
The Information Man is an anthem as much as it is a poem. It is long, and it is vast, and by god, it is beautiful. If you don’t fancy listening to this poem, you can read it here, but whichever way you decide to ingest it, please ingest it. Every time I hear this poem, I want to run through a wall, become a better writer, hug my Mother, gift away my last thirty years of Christmas presents, and shout I love you through train tunnels, hoping my echo will remain eternal simultaneously.
Le Samouraï is some top-class French cinema. It is minimal and has a vibe that makes you want to live your entire life in grainy black and white and take up smoking in alleyways. There is little dialogue and more show than there is tell, and you probably won’t find another film like it. Give it a chance; I don’t think you’ll regret it.
Incredible images of great comets is exactly what it says on the tin: incredible images of great comets. There is a little information regarding each comet, and it is always nice to have a bit of history. I don’t know if you love space, but I love space, and if you don’t love space, maybe this will help you love space because these incredible images of great comets are also beautiful images of dope comets.
What did you think of today’s static? Did you enjoy the comets? What did you discover this week that you loved? Feel free to share in the comments. And if you loved the Static and what I am doing here, then why not jump over and upgrade to paid for more content?
SPACE IS SUCH A VIBE! 🌎💫🪐🌙 ☄️
Love looking at the “Astronomy Picture Of The Day” page - especially on Birthdays and Anniversaries of those I love (or those I hate - to see if there is a massive destructive asteroid hurtling towards their home…just kidding - my mom said “hate” is not nice - so people I just really don’t like a lot 🤣)

Good stuff Ash!
Loved this! I used to be obsessed with outer space. It absolutely blows my mind that the picture of comets in textbooks growing up were mere pencil renderings. Now we have the technology to really capture the beauty both from earth and from an actual comet surface.
