Howdy, partners! This week, we explore poetry and podcasts and explore extinction. Hit that subscribe button to support me more and get extra content both here and on Instagram. Let’s get into this.
It’s Not Magic… is a book by Jon Sands, and although I recommend you read the entirety of this collection, this is home to one of my favourite poems ever. It is titled ‘Love Poem’, and he does a great performance of it, which you can watch here, but it is divisive. Some people like the performance, and some don’t. It is a killer poem, and I can never get enough of it.
The Case Of The Missing Hit is the one hundred and fifty-eightth episode of a show called ‘Reply All’. It is about a song that somebody can’t remember, and they spend the entirety of the episode trying to find it. It doesn’t sound as intriguing as it is, and they pull you in quickly. They have lots of great episodes, but this is my absolute favourite.
Extinct animals are crazy. This is a list of eighteen truly terrifying extinct animals, including a mega eagle and a bear fifty percent bigger than the ones we know. Obviously, I want a movie on all of them, but I am glad they don’t exist in the real world now, or we most certainly wouldn’t, or we at least would in limited quantity.
Do you have an extinct animal that terrifies you the most from this list or one that wasn’t listed? Did you like the poetry performance? Got anything else to say? Sound off in the comments, and if you would be so kind, please share this with your friends.
10/10 love the poem and the presentation! I love how poems have multiple personalities based on how they are performed.
As for the extinct animals, those big and aggressive birds seem absolutely terrifying.
Love Poem was PHENOMENAL!
Presentation was spot on! Proper pauses present people’s participation.
Thank you for that one.
Added to my phone reading list so I can revisit often
