May we be merry

To say these times are kicking my ass would be a grand understatement. I feel I am climbing an endless set of stairs and ultimately getting nowhere. However, through all the sad and tiredness, there is a light. There is a joy that never seems to lessen and that joy is Sav. I have no idea how she manages to stay light so often. No idea how she finds the joy at the worst of times. She is an inspiration for my happiness and my poetry. If you are a writer, tell me, where is your biggest source of inspiration? And for everybody, what is your biggest source of joy?

You and Sav, man. Love how much y’all love each other.

Both answers for me are my kiddo. He’s my favorite person.

And my song is Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, particularly the versions that say “muddle through” because I love that.

Brother, just know that no matter how many stairs there are, I'll be climbing them with you.
